Ferrero USA, Inc., part of the global confectionery company Ferrero Group, today announced the opening of a new distribution center in McDonough, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta. The newly constructed facility located at 875 Highway 42 South is 728,000 square feet and projected to begin operating by early September. The company anticipates that its new distribution center will add 250 local jobs.
The Henry County Development Authority today announced that Love's Travel Stops, the nation's industry-leading travel stop network, will open a retread plant and retail distribution center in Locust Grove, Georgia. Love’s will invest $16 million in its new Henry County facility and will employ 55 team members across various manufacturing and distribution roles. Love’s will provide retread products to commercial fleet companies and distribute product to the company’s Truck Care and Speedco locations. The new 200,000 square-foot facility is being developed by Scannell Properties.

The Henry County Development Authority and the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) announced today that De Wafelbakkers, a manufacturer of made from scratch breakfast products, will invest $15 million to expand its production facility in Henry County. The expansion project will also create 83 jobs. This investment and job creation represents the first part of a planned two-phase expansion.
