Henry County Celebrates Manufacturing Appreciation Week

Georgia Manufacturing Appreciation Week (MAW) is April 15-18, 2019! MAW was developed by the Technical College System of Georgia and the Georgia Department of Economic Development to celebrate the achievements of Georgia manufacturers. 

Whether it’s spicing up the backyard BBQ with Ken’s BBQ sauce, sprucing up our homes with a little BEHR paint, or sporting Luxottica's premium, luxury and sports eyewear, many Henry County residents are unaware that they are routinely using “Made in Henry” products. The Henry County Development Authority will be spotlighting “Made in Henry” products and the companies that have manufacturing facilities in our community during MAW.

2019 Henry County Business Appreciation

Henry County is home to a diverse array of businesses – from manufacturing and distribution, to healthcare and corporate headquarters and support facilities – and they each serve as a vital piece of the puzzle when it comes to sustaining economic vitality. The Henry County Development Authority hosted a Business Appreciation Luncheon at the Eagles Landing Country Club on April 4, 2019 to honor and celebrate businesses who have chosen to locate in Henry County and whose operations are essential building blocks for economic success as a community.

Korean Brake Manufacturer to Locate U.S. Headquarters in Henry County

Governor Brian P. Kemp today announced that Sangsin Technology America, a leading global brake friction materials and replacement parts manufacturer, will create 200 jobs and invest $20 million in its first North American manufacturing facility in McDonough, Georgia. Governor Kemp stopped by Sangsin’s booth at the Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC) Annual Meeting & Transportation Technology Exhibition (TMC 2019) at the Georgia World Congress Center today to celebrate the news.

GFA to Provide Enhanced Logistics Solutions for LG Electronics

The Henry County Development Authority announced today that GFA, a premier provider of total logistics solutions and supply chain analysis, has located in Henry County to provide enhanced logistics solutions for LG Electronics. The company is creating 34 new jobs at their new facility in Greenwood Industrial Park (McDonough, Georgia) to support their client.

General Mills and Blue Buffalo Choose Henry for New Facility

The Henry County Development Authority announced today that General Mills, manufacturer and marketer of branded consumer foods, will invest $8.5 million in its new state-of-the-art distribution facility located on Westridge Parkway in McDonough, Georgia. The project will create more than 50 new jobs.
